Sequin embroidery machine is a type of embroidery machine that is mainly used to embroider sequin designs on embroidered items. This type of machine is characterised by the installation of a sequin device on its equipment, which can be either a single sequin or a double sequin. Sequin embroidery consists of a number of sequins and stitches, the sequins are usually made of materials with hard texture, flat surface and high finish, and by matching different colours, sizes and shapes, the embroidery presents a unique effect
During the operation of the sequin embroidery machine, the sequin unit (dispenser) will place the sequins on the fabric in the specified direction. At the same time, the embroidery needle is stabbed into the fabric at the centre of the sequin to secure the sequin position. The embroidery needle will then make several stabs back and forth along the outer edge of the sequin at this centre, wrapping the sequin tightly around the fabric. The sequin dispenser and the embroidery needle move simultaneously and in conjunction with the movement of the embroidery frame to complete the sequin lowering action.
